How to remove spark plugs
You'll have to forgive me for this because I know this sounds like a stupid question but I have to ask it.
How do I remove the spark plugs from a 2000 3800 v6. I have a haynes manual so I know where they are, however I have never seen a plug boot (cover) like this one before.
Last night I pulled and tugged at one of them and it would not come off.
Then my next questions is are there any secrets on how to pull out the rear plugs.
This car appears very hard to work on, but then I'm not professional mechanic.
Thxs.

ok to remove the plugs, you can either buy a spark plug boot tool or you can just tug on it firmly with a pair of vice grips, which is what i did. To access the back few plugs, detach the top 2 engine mounts that mount to the front crossmember, and with the engine in park, pull the car forward, which will in turn, tilt the engine forward. Do this untill there is a far enough gap to reach the back plugs, and obviously block the wheels so the car doesnt roll back.
Just stick with them, they are really hard to get to at first, but eventually you can get them out and replaced
