Default bad clutch?

recently the clutch in my sunfire has started slipping ...ive been told that the clutch is hydralic and that could be my problem...when it slips it seems like when i get to about 3500 to 4000 rmps it launches like the clutch is just grabbing....any idea how to change it or about the hydralic system if there is any.

Default RE: bad clutch?

Yeah, you could possibly have a slight leak that leaks onto the clutch causing it to slip. But most likely the clutch is going out. BTW, being a hydraulic clutch has nothing to do with it. Check the clutch fluid resevoir. But tell me more about what type of driving that car as mainly seen and how many miles are on the car.
